Trade Show Display Solutions

To any business the impact of a trade show is undeniable. It creates brand and product awareness among the new customers while rebuilding, reinforcing and repositioning brand value among existing clientele. Surveys have suggested that trade shows can bring together a very dense combination of potential clients and competitors under one roof.

In such a case competition is cut throat and the only way you can outdo your competitor is by attracting a larger crowd towards your own booth simply through better presentation, effective costing strategies and snazzy trade show displays. There are various types of displays, each with their own cost and labor and requirement factors

Types of trade show displays

Banner stands: These are graphics mounted on a standing frame, sometimes augmented by backlighting. These lightweight display solutions are extremely portable as some of them come with detachable graphics and panels. They are low cost and logistically sound display solutions.

Table top displays: They are very easy to set up using graphic panels attached to a metal framework using various fasteners like Velcro, tape, adhesive or magnets. They require very little on-site manpower and as the name suggests, are usually set up on top of a table which is generally supplied by whoever is renting you the space for your exhibit.

Pop-up displays: Sometimes also known as a portable display, these curved displays use spring loaded rollers and flexible graphics panels and can be used individually or in a series depending on the requirement. Often constructed out of lightweight material, these types of trade show displays can be transported easily and do not require intensive labor as far as setting them up is concerned.

Modular displays: In this case an entire metal framework or lightweight panels are fitted into a given space and configured according to the client's needs. Because it is easy to reconfigure the display into a new layout, it becomes very economic solution for handling multiple shows. Even though setting it up might be a little labor intensive, it is easy to transport and can be moved around in traveling cases.

Custom displays: They can be fabricated out of a wide variety of material and according to the specific needs of the client. The design principles are highly flexible often incorporating hard panels to create separate cubicles, stages, work stations and various other display components. Custom displays are generally very labor intensive with high purchase or rent cost involved. As such they can only be maintained by large companies which run multiple shows with extremely varied requirements.

Costing strategies

Rentals can reduce costs drastically. They eliminate the need for transportation and storage thereby cutting out a big chunk out of the total cost. Purchasing trade show exhibits doesn't make for a viable solution if you plan on using it once or twice. Most rental companies readily tailor and customize exhibits according to your needs and they usually ship anywhere within the country.

By understanding your business needs, cost structures and how trade show displays can influence the customers in your favor, you can come up with trade show solutions that best serve your marketing needs.
